In 2015, Pantone deemed Marsala the "Colour of the Year", an honour bestowed upon hues that usually end up filling our wardrobes months later. Pantone Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman said the colour, "Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth."

While 'burgundy' or 'wine' as many people refer to the colour was spotted on the catwalks as early as January last year, we are excited to announce it is has finally found its way into Her Wardrobe, and thus yours.
At Her Wardrobe, she has found Marsala is a great colour for blondes and brunettes alike. It suits a warm skin tone (though almost anyone can have that with the right spray tan!) Marsala is best styled back with nude tones or gold if you're looking to glam it up. Emerald green is also a striking way to compliment a marsala dress.
Bloggers, Danielle & Nicole of When Words Fail take some gorgeous Marsala dresses from Her Wardrobe for a spin.
