Having a baby is one of the most exciting milestones in a woman's life and the baby shower is one of the highlights of this special time.  But...what to wear!?
We were so happy when Kristy stopped by Her Wardrobe with this exact predicament.
Kristy wanted to be comfortable and look really nice but was not entirely sure how things would fit (particular given she was not too far off her due date).  She had her eye on the Thurley 'Treasure Trove Dress' from the very beginning and only had to try on a couple of others before she settled on this dress for her baby shower.
We chatted to Kristy after her event to find out a bit more about her new life as Mum and about her adventures as a reporter at Channel 7.

1. What type of work are you in?

I'm a TV reporter for 7 News. No two days are the same - which I love! When I get up in the morning, I never know which story I'll be covering, or where I'll end up. When news breaks, the day can change in an instant. It can be exciting and an adrenaline rush - but also terribly sad sometimes. There's good news and bad news, and often it's an emotional roller coaster of highs and lows.

2. What made you decide to rent a dress?

I discovered Her Wardrobe when I was nine months pregnant and struggling to find a dress for my baby shower. There was a lot of ordinary maternity stuff out there, but nothing that really grabbed me. (Too much of the same stretchy fabric and 90's lace!) I wanted something modern.

3. What drew you specifically to Her Wardrobe?

Renting this dress was the perfect solution, as it was two sizes larger than what I'd usually wear - so it would have been a waste to buy it. Also, I inhale fashion (like most women!) and love to wear different things all the time. Not ideal for the bank account - this is a much more financially savvy way to do it!

4. What drew you to the dress you chose?

The moment I put this Thurley dress on, I was sold. It was different, it showed off the bump, and incredibly it was really comfortable.

5.What are your best beauty tips?

I wear a lot of makeup for work so a beauty routine is really important. I have a microdermabrasion facial every four weeks, and make sure I cleanse, tone and moisturise daily, even when I'm so tired I can't move! (Those days = makeup wipes!) I do always slather moisturiser though, and use a mix to keep my skin really supple. Clarins lotus oil, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream and the Clinique Moisture Surge range are among my favourites on rotation. And lots of water and SPF 40, every day of the year!
